Manhunt is a stealth horror game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. Released in 2003 after roughly three years in development, the game follows death row inmate James Earl Cash forced to participate in a series of snuff films. Due to its dark tone and graphic depiction of violence it was considered a 'pet project' at Rockstar North, provoking controversy internationally. Despite this, the game sold 1.5 million copies.
