Code & Data

The Scottish Games Industry directory exists to showcase Scottish game studios, their games, and the many talented people behind them.

Scotland has a proud heritage in the making of games, from the early days of DMA Design and Rockstar North, to a thriving ecosystem of independent studios, publishers, tech and tooling companies, and educational institutions spread across Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and beyond.

This directory both showcases that history, as well as providing an up-to-date source for exploring today's industry; with the aim of better connecting the many talented people working in and around games in Scotland.

What's here

Who made this?

This site was built by Robbie Cargill, a game developer living in Glasgow. He also co-founded and currently works on Buildstash in the tools space — a platform for managing software binaries, helping game devs securely store and share their playable builds. Buildstash provide hosting for this site.

He made this directory as it was a resource he'd long wanted to see exist.
