A narrative-driven course at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design focusing on characters and storytelling. You will learn 2D and 3D animation techniques including principles of character animation, storyboarding, character development and design, concept and production design, life drawing, acting and production scheduling. As you progress you specialise in areas such as 3D modelling and texturing, rigging, lighting and compositing, or 2D and 3D effects animation. Graduates have credits in Game of Thrones, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and the Disney Channel. Ranked 2nd in the UK for Animation (Guardian University Guide 2026).
